Review on 🚘 Enhance Your Lexus RX Dash with the Metra 99-8159S Double DIN Dash Kit by Jerry Olson

I installed this dashboard kit on my Lexus RX 350 08. It matches the brackets, a few notes on something not mentioned in the install guide: transfer them to the install kit, this will prevent a very slight knock when riding. 2 Most Android head units are about 1-2mm wider and 1-2mm higher than the hole in the kit. (Dremmel is your friend). 3 The center section under the heater controls expands like a shelf where it used to be flat with the front, just a small detail that I think would have earned 5 stars. Although Android head units are not true double din and the unit says it will fit most double din, you would think Metra would allow this in a kit as there are a large number of Android devices on the market that are far cheaper than the big 4. On top of that, Metra products work well, the finish always matches the original car colors exactly, just a few minor tweaks for this latest star. PS I have been installing car audio for over 30 years and use Metra and Axxcess products almost exclusively, they are the best in the business especially for the price. Just compare it with the Crutchfield installation kit, you can say sticker shock ;-)
