It didn't take me long to figure out how to set it up. I only want one receiver so I place the sensor in my house next to the receivers. I also check what kind of sound I need and connect the sensor to the receiver. For the wind I plant to move in the wind, the sensors can be triggered but it seems to require a lot of movement. In my experience, this only works for a few feet of movement. So if I point out a plant that can move that much, it will set off a lot of false alarms in high winds. This worked for several weeks until I realized that if I had at least one cloudy day, the sensors wouldn't work that night. I put it where it gets 100% sun all day and these things are totally unreliable for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, I like the idea of the sensors. If I want to use this device to warn me that someone is where they shouldn't be, I don't have options that sound like a mild warning or a severe alarm. The least hackneyed sounds like an electronic doorbell.
