I installed these rear Monroe shocks on my 2002 Ford Ranger 4WD because I could no longer take the rough ride of the Gabriel Ultras I had previously installed. night difference. and day! The Gabriels hit my spine with every little dimple in the road surface. Now I feel almost no bumps in the road with these Monroe dampers. I still have the Gabriel Ultras up front, but now I'm thinking about ditching them and going to all the Monroes. UPDATE: The other day while riding on the train tracks, the rear of the Monroe unexpectedly shifted to the right, which made me a little uncomfortable running with those bumps. do not provide the best grip when driving on bumpy roads. I wish there was a sweet spot between those smooth-riding Monroes and those spine-banging Gabriel Ultras.
