Review on Cool Change Waterproof Capacity Install by Bryce Marshall

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Affordable, spacious, reliable

An underseat bag has become an almost ubiquitous bike accessory and there seems to be a million different types to choose from. After a few tries, I settled on this one because it was inexpensive, large, and came with a quick release buckle. I've been using a Topeak bag for years and appreciate the convenience of being able to quickly detach it to switch to another bike or just take it with me when I'm parked somewhere. The Coolchange is surprisingly roomier than I expected without being bulky. It's longer rather than wider, which keeps it out of the way. I also like the stiffness of the material which prevents it from sagging like some softer bags do. My only two negatives would be the side zipper, which requires two hands to open/close due to the square shape of the bag, and the soft plastic connector plate under the seat. You can see in my close-up that it flexes under the tension of the bolts . Neither of these issues is a deal breaker for me as this item costs less than $20 which is a much better deal than some others. I've ridden about 40 miles with this bag and so far it's holding up great on both the road and trail.
