I have a 2006 Prius and while I like its mileage it's pretty much useless in the snow despite special winter tires (they don't plow well here and I have a steep driveway that I use too not clean well). This year (2012) we had snow before Christmas. My car slid over it and I had trouble climbing. We had 3 inches of snow that wasn't cleared after Christmas when I went home from work. I was able to ride with these chains without any problems. It took 45 minutes to get dressed (in snow and darkness when I've only done it once before). Today in the light I was able to do both hoops in 15 minutes and the second was definitely faster. I'll probably cut the time down to 10 minutes or less. The price and effort is worth it. Completely changed the value of my Prius.
