Very light and well built. I have only used a propane tank and small gas heads in the past and look forward to using a spirit lamp in the future. As a test, I put two fluid ounces of HEET in the oven (the measured lines are inside) and lit. It's hard to tell if it's on fire or not. Give it a few seconds and a hand over the stove 1-2 feet away will detect heat. Be sure to use a stand that supports the kettle or mug over the stove. I poured two cups of water into the kettle and after 12 minutes it boiled. I emptied the kettle and poured a cup, and with it and the stove it took me just four minutes and 16 seconds to boil another cup of water. This was done outside in 50 degree weather and I also used a windbreak.
