Love it! First I would like to say that I have no idea why people are claiming that this teapot is a "cheap fake" or counterfeit. I did a little research. and it seems legal to me. According to the "experts" everything about the teapot I received appears to be genuine. My logo was straight forward. The quality of the metal is top, although it is a plastic bird. he whistles. at least mine. This is a high quality kettle. Heavy metal and beautiful design. It's POSSIBLE that other people who have written reviews of this kettle have said the bird didn't whistle and put the bird in the wrong place. One of the reviews I read said you have to stand the bird upright or it wouldn't whistle. I was careful to straighten the little bird, beak out. It worked! Actually it was pretty loud. If you have a noisy house with lots of noisy appliances, screaming kids, car horns outside, and the TV or radio on, you might miss the whistle. BUT, even if you're in a relatively quiet house, there's NO reason why you shouldn't hear the whistle. I doubt that if you are in front of a large house or on another floor you could easily hear a whistle with a noteworthy noise, but I do not recommend leaving the stove on and generally leaving it unattended. This is a very good kettle. It was a little pricey for me, but I'm always willing to ensure quality. And I was hesitant because of the reviews here, but I'm really glad I took the chance. I'm not sure what happened to the other reviewers since I haven't been there, but I'll say it. I think some people have unrealistic expectations. I also think people leave bad reviews, are just plain rude and/or don't read or do proper research before buying something. Buy a kettle. You won't be disappointed as long as you expect a heavyweight kettle with great design and a plastic bird that whistle when assembled correctly.
