This is the first piece of clothing I have ever bought on ebay. Based on previous reviews, I purchased this dress. And I am really glad that I did. Absolutely amazing. I am in a band, and I bought it for our first gig, and I felt so good in it! Having the belt at the waist that isn’t attached or sewn in makes it really forgiving as to the waist size. I will be able to wear this even if my weight should happen to change. My bust size was smaller than this was made for, so in the interim, I just used a heavy double sided sticky tape to keep it closed about 1/2” up from the snap. I’ll take it in to the tailor to have it altered to fit properly. The length was great. Just below the knee. I wore it with a pair of boots that come to the top of my calves, and it was great. The fabric has a great hand (it’s sort of like a thin neoprene) and it hides a lot of sins, so to speak. It falls really well over the body. It was *not* hot to wear. The fiber content on the tag was clearly wrong (it said 100% cotton), so I’m not sure what it is.I got it in black. It’s a very rich black, had a nice sheen, without being shiny. It was wrinkled when it showed up, but I hung it up, and a lot of them hung out. A couple of days in the bathroom exposed to steam in there from the shower, and most of them were gone. The last of them I hit with the iron. It took five minutes.I did order a crinoline to wear with it, but I didn’t wear it to the gig. It is very cute with it, however. I will probably use it the next time I wear the dress.If in doubt, or on the fence, buy it. You can always return it. I doubt you will!
