Great product at a great price. You can actually make your own tester if you can find the materials that will provide the vacuum, and it doesn't have to be perfect. a rubber washer, some tubes from the hardware store, a plastic junk food cup and something to suck on. Just keep the test fluid container away from the coolant tank. This simple test fluid helped me decide whether to scrap the car or keep it and fix it - and the car was a keeper! Of course, I accidentally left the open liquid tester in the garage for a couple of weeks and could actually see the ambient smoke color change.
