This is a pure large gaming monitor, if you need it then it's perfect. You need to change the default settings, I believe some of the negative comments are from people setting the monitor incorrectly. It can be used as a TV, but there are better multifunction monitors out there. You can find more powerful smaller monitors (24-32 inch) at a much lower price. I've always played on big monitors, I can't go back. Advantages: - very high brightness - excellent color reproduction - response time - no noticeable blurring, haloing or halo effect. - I like that the RBG cables come separately so you can customize them, but there was no glue on the back. They're magnetic, but the back of the monitor is plastic so they don't stick. - Comes with two DP cables which you will need if you want to work at 144Hz. Cons: - somewhat high price - no batteries with remote control - built-in speakers not as good as I would like. Why not remove this feature and lower the price. I still connect to the external system, so it's not a problem for me.
