This is a product very similar to what I found at Daiso and I expected the same experience - subtle fragrance and effective deodorization. this product. The smell on this one is so overpowering that I would have no choice but to get rid of it completely. I don't understand why so many products in the US market have such an unbearable odor and even worse, why so many of them use allergens to create fragrances. Had my allergic reaction been more severe, I could have sued Punati to recall the product because it was life threatening. I'm not exaggerating when I call it an irresistible stench. The "calming rain" version is said to smell like soothing rain, not a broken gas can; and it should be thin to gently cover bad smells and keep eyes from bleeding. Cotton has a strong soapy smell. The lavender and vanilla versions are only suitable for biological and chemical warfare. If you are sensitive to fragrances, avoid this product. Turning on the fan frequently eased my reaction to this, but the lavender-vanilla variety of the same product caused a persistent dry cough just a day after removing the seal. It's quite painful and the smell is actually quite disgusting - nothing like vanilla or lavender. I would change my advice to this: avoid this product at all costs.
