Review on Harringdons Kitchen Cotton Absorbent Substitute by Melissa Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Be sure to follow the directions before using these towels.

I strongly suspect that some of the negative reviews are due to some people not following the instructions. They MUST be washed in HOT water before use. New fabric products are often coated to give them an initial crisp. . Hot soapy water washes it off. My water does not reach the 140° indicated in the instructions. So I wahaled them 2 times. in "hot water" The first time I used it, I added a few sips of distilled white vinegar along with laundry soap to the wash water along with laundry soap. Then again just in hot soapy water. I dried them on a medium setting as instructed. When I compared the washed towel to the unwashed towel I set aside, the shrinkage was less than half an inch. They are literally DOUBLE the size of regular kitchen towels and are of very good quality. They do an excellent job of drying dishes and hands. ●● As indicated in the enclosed instructions, DO NOT USE WITH FABRIC CONDITIONER. DAS will reduce or eliminate absorption. (This might be another reason why some people think they don't dry well. Dry overnight.) BUT NOT BAD AT ALL. Especially for all cotton. Another thing. Someone said they went up in price. Name just one thing hasn't grown.especially since covid. They cost a little over $2 each. Towel after taxes. They are literally twice the size of regular kitchen towels. If you want cheaper towels you can just go to the Dollar Store or Walmart. ● I NEVER take kickbacks for my reviews. I either like the product or I don't know.
