But they don't absorb water!

The towels are very nice and I showed them to the company. BUT: they do not absorb water! So disappointing. I bought a new set of wine glasses from Crate and Barrel. All washed in hot soapy water. And I've tried drying them with these towels - about as useful as burlap in terms of absorption. I recommend the old versions of flour sacks for kitchen towels - now YOU absorb.

Who knew towels could be so exciting?

I don't know why it took me half a lifetime to understand that there are towels that actually dry hands, dishes, etc. and even dry quickly afterwards, instead of hanging wet and smelly. Luckily I did what we all do when we come up with an idea that seems too brilliant to pass. I jumped on Revane and found these babies. Oh sure there were plenty of other options but these are by far the best. How do I know? I can't imagine her better like this. Why would you trust someone who took so long to…

Where is the Sixth Star Badge? Rarely do I receive a package from Revain and immediately go to my computer to write a review. I should have known this was going to be one of those better than expected purchases when Harringdons emailed me earlier with detailed washing instructions - and no suggestions for other products, just helpful advice. When the towels arrived, my first delight was the packaging: simple, functional, and free of those pesky stickers, tags, and plastic strings that hold the…

Be sure to follow the directions before using these towels.

I strongly suspect that some of the negative reviews are due to some people not following the instructions. They MUST be washed in HOT water before use. New fabric products are often coated to give them an initial crisp. . Hot soapy water washes it off. My water does not reach the 140° indicated in the instructions. So I wahaled them 2 times. in "hot water" The first time I used it, I added a few sips of distilled white vinegar along with laundry soap to the wash water along with laundry soap…

The highest quality towels I have seen in my 40 years as a housewife.

Towels are beautiful. They absorb perfectly and leave no lint on glassware. The colors are bright and beautiful and the quality is excellent. My step daughter's grandmother has several of these towels which she says she has had for over 30 years! I believe that because, like me, she doesn't throw anything away just because it's old. It has no holes, the edges are still in pristine condition, and they're still as absorbent as mine as far as I can tell. I have used them many times around her…

The towels met my needs and were great value for money!

I was a bit hesitant when ordering towels because I wanted a smooth surface for machine embroidery and the herringbone pattern can sometimes be "uneven". This was not the case when I found out when the towels arrived; so i was very happy with them. I found the towels attractive and I know they will look beautiful when embroidered. What surprised me was the color of the stripes. What I thought were red stripes (on 4 towels) turned out to be orange and yellow; the blue turned out to be blue and…

I must be getting old caring so much about kitchen towels.

Okay, they're just kitchen towels. They're for drying dishes, wiping stains, drying your hands - or anything you need a towel for in the kitchen. I've used bar towels for years and have never been *really* satisfied with their size, quality, or performance. These towels hit the mark in every way. When I got them I threw them in the washing machine (cold - I wash almost everything cold) and then in the dryer (regular mode) and it *might* shrink a bit, but given the size of these towels - they're
