These gloves are great for removing hot pans from the fryer, as well as ranges, pans and anything you put in the oven. I've also used this with my cast iron skillet which gets very hot. I was dying to try these grills with hot metal skewers, but now it's winter and I couldn't. I'm sure they will stand the test and look forward to using them this summer. On my hand (I'm a woman) they are a bit big (I'm a woman) perfect for my husband's big hands. They are definitely heat resistant and will last for a long time. If necessary, you can hold the hotplate for a few minutes. If food gets on it, it is easily washed off and can be thrown in the wash. I am satisfied with these heat resistant gloves.
