Our mixer broke and we really only used it for cocktails so we decided to try it out instead of a more expensive competitor. The pros and cons are listed below, but the biggest issue is that there is no on/off switch. You have to click on the bottle and rotate it clockwise to keep it in place. Once your mix is ready, you need to reverse the process. However, if you don't remove them very quickly, the gears will grind. This will certainly lead to a need for replacement. There's no reason not to have a switch. Not critical, but very poor technique. Pros: Very powerful motor Easy to clean Solid bottle Easy to replace bottles Great value for money Cons: Pretty damn loud No on/off switch The motor doesn't "brake" when you take the bottle out, causing it to rub against the gears . This ultimately leads to the need for replacement.
