I bought these for a steel serpentine chain I had. The snake chain is 21.6 inches long so it's a bit small for me as I don't like shorter necklaces or necklaces. I really didn't want to buy a longer snake chain so I looked into these extenders. With the extension it is 23.6 inches and therefore perfect. currently. The snake chain is 6mm wide and thick so has some weight but it seems like a single extension will do the job. The extenders are a little flimsy so as another reviewer said you may need to double them for heavier chains or heavy pendant necklaces. I had some other problems. One of them was that the extension links were too small to attach my snake chain. They fit well in a small space. Second if the extension cords looked cheap like another reviewer said. Overall I find them ok. Slightly lighter silver than my steel chain, but no big deal.
