UPDATE (04/06/21) I noticed that there is a web interface for the router. I made the mistake of accessing it from the desktop and not the wireless network (on the same IP subnet). And this web interface contains many other options, such as B. turning the device into an access point, more configurations for management, bandwidth and so on. So advanced users will feel right at home with this web interface. ORIGINAL ReviewPRO: Transmission power and multiple antennas ensure higher throughput. (see photo) The device configuration is easily done by controlling the LED display in the app (Android app). Yes, please. Not many brands have that. I don't need a light at night. CONS: Not really a con, but I do miss the web interface. The configuration has to be done via the app and that's a good thing. (READ UPDATE: There is a web interface). A little clunky compared to other devices. The antennas are very visible. I'm going to wall mount mine and it's very sticky (but I prefer bulky and fast to thin and not very fast). I can't say much about the internal quality of the components used in this device (I won't open it), but so far it's working very well. Other comments: I have 1 GB. Fiber connection and since I work in IT I usually stick to corporate equipment. But I was surprised that a cheaper device (although newer) could offer much faster speeds than my old device. Kids are still learning which is good for all Zoom/Webex/Teams meetings to continue). Meraki Usage: Cellular: 115 Mbps - 91.1 Mbps Laptop: 227 Mbps - 180 Mbps Speedefy Usage: Cellular: 499 Mbps - 137 Mbps Laptop: 404 Mbps - 194 Mbps Both access points are in the same location (although one is installed and the other is on my chair next to it). The quality looks ok, nothing special so I hope this device will keep this performance in the long run. Final Thoughts: It does exactly what I expected (offers better WiFi speeds) for less money than my other older device. Although I don't have a source of noise, where I live our spectrum is very crowded (I live in DC) so this device was able to get a good frequency and transmit on 2.4 and 5GHz without much interference. Keep in mind that most of my devices connect to 5GHz (where you get the fastest speed). Now I am very happy with the device. I'll do an updated review in probably 6 months to see if it's still working as expected.
