Review on Garmin Approach S6 Golf Watch, Lightweight by Steven Lewis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The Garmin S6 Approach is simple and easy to use

I am very satisfied and even excited about the Garmin Approach S6. He has accompanied me to at least 10 golf games. I play golf at least once a week and am tech savvy so I found the S6 intuitive to use. I've compared it to others and find it the easiest to use in terms of controls and interface. No annual fees are a good thing. The battery cycle is typical for such a device (one day or 16-18 hours before charging. If the watch stays on, the duty cycle increases). Many golfers simply use these watches as distance calculators. I enjoy using the scoring and statistics logging features. Data like club distance is valuable and can really help your game by knowing how far you can hit each club in your bag. I confess I have yet to try a swing tempo trainer. Punch card and touch screen function are practical. You click where you want to calculate the distance and it will be shown to you immediately. I love the ease with which you can set up your scoring and handicap profile, and the Bluetooth capability transfers watch data to the Garmin smartphone app instantly. It also sends message data like alerts and text messages to the watch, which isn't strictly a necessary feature. I tend to stand off the starting grid when playing golf.
