I tried two of these for a 50ft connection to a high quality HP Gigabit Rack Switch, and none of them could provide a gigabit port, only 100Mbps. . I've also tried both with USB 2.0 over Ethernet and neither worked. Replaced with two other cables that were only slightly more expensive and the other brand worked fine for both gigabit ethernet and USB 2.0 over ethernet. To be honest they ran 8 feet near power lines, so I suspect it's a lack of shielding and thin jacketing that make these cables problematic for long runs, although I've tried them away from power lines as well and they still don't. I do not work. The replacement cables I bought were individually shielded twisted pairs with gold connectors, Cat7 cost $5 more.
