I tried this product because it is 'green' and got great reviews. To be honest I was disappointed. While good for soaking small pieces of glass, it's not very good for removing dirt. Even with the included brushes, it can take multiple cycles of soaking, scrubbing, and rinsing. It doesn't contain any solid particles (like salt), so shaking won't help. The good news is that it smells nice and lasts a long time. I left this in the container for a few months and with a little agitation I was still able to get it working. It is also good for removing tar from fingers. To be honest, I think it works better for that than for cleaning items. I keep a bowl by my side when I'm rinsing my glass so I can wash my fingers when I'm done.
