Not all are self-healing

I'm used to more expensive quilts that actually heal themselves. This one is much tougher and the cuts don't seem to heal on their own like with more expensive carpets. It's much stiffer than more expensive mats. Suitable for protecting a small work area and cutting heavier materials.
