Review on 🚣 Minn Kota Endura Max Transom Mount Shaft Thrust by Rodney Gonzalez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to set up/use, decent battery life, good performance

Perfect for my needs! Easy to set up, easy to use. It was easy to set up a sonar on it. Manual tilt/trim is easy enough on the water. Amazing efficiency in terms of battery life. The speed varies depending on the stick and seems to be reflected in the efficiency of the battery. Spent 5-6 hours there once this summer (2017) and never fell below 2 lights (50%). Pay attention to a high-quality battery! The telescopic handle is a nice feature. I had this on a 12 foot fiberglass V hull and it pushed me down to the glass at 3 mph with no problem to calm the water. Pretty impressive for a 45lb pull on a heavier fiberglass boat. I definitely had a hard time pushing myself when near (or in) the undercurrent of the main tank (on my way to or from the pier), even in light winds. I suspect that a lighter aluminum boat would do better in such circumstances, but a trolling motor should not. In any event, this will be your primary propulsion method in such circumstances. A handle that tilts up when needed would be a phenomenal addition as that would be the only criticism of using this motor for perch/zander (constant casting, variable draw). techniques, jigging, etc.). You need to be on the ball at these spots and be able to pull your bait out with the right action. Constantly bending down to adjust the speed and/or direction of the motor and then taking one hand off the rod or reel AND taking your eyes off the line/water definitely became a real annoyance and no doubt cost me a few hits a result of multiple "distractions". " Extractions. Overall it really helped me get off the coast. Pros: - Great for trolling in calm water - Ease of use - Battery efficiency Cons: - Telescoping handle positioned horizontally (cannot tilt up) prevents casting and reeling techniques when you are the only one driving the boat

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • So far so good
