Although they look nice, they are NOT flexible at all. They are hard plastic. I had no sharp edges that hurt; However, when I inserted it into the tragus, one ear bled, so I'm guessing the edge was sharp enough to cut me. It doesn't hurt though, so I'm not sure. I have had piercings for years, they are not new piercings. After I put them in and stopped the bleeding (it only took a few minutes) they were fine. I ordered 8mm earrings as I always use this size and they are much longer than all my previous earrings. I will keep them until I find real Bioflex earrings. Even if I won't buy any more.
