Although they look nice, they are NOT flexible at all. They are hard plastic. I had no sharp edges that hurt; However, when I inserted it into the tragus, one ear bled, so I'm guessing the edge was sharp enough to cut me. It doesn't hurt though, so I'm not sure. I use them for Ashley's piercing. I prefer plastic and this is the best I've found. They are very shiny and the glitter doesn't seem to fade as quickly as some others I've bought.
