Definitely do their job.
They are amazing, they work, my 2 year old can't open the doors I put them on. In fact, my older kids are having a tough time, as is I. They definitely work, even too well. They weren't that easy to assemble, I had to ask my husband to assemble them for me, good hand strength is required for assembly and disassembly.
