Yes, these are thin, but I wasn't surprised. Yes, they should have been shipped flat! I was able to fix the tight roll. I rolled the opposite way and secured with rubber bands. After a few minutes, I unrolled then and that helped a lot, but still not flat. Then I IRONED them. Started out with low heat and a cover cloth, ended up using high heat and ditching the protective cloth (these are heat resistant after all). Ironed from the backside on a flat hard surface. Worked perfectly. A little pricey for the quality, but beautiful design that I haven't been able to find anywhere else.
