I read reviews and knew it wasn't real chrome it was plastic chrome paint. But it works great, looks good and was a good replacement for my old cheaper one. The only problem I had was the instructions. You weren't told to use teflon tape on the AL 3 PIECES, you screw them together. I was just told to use it on the shower head (which comes out of the wall). After just putting teflon tape on the shower handle, I got a leak in one of the other places. So I unscrewed the other two pieces and added teflon tape to them. shaft.no leakage. I hope this lasts long. Great replacement for my old one which was about 20 years old.
