Review on AO200 Amplifier Bluetooth MA12070×2 150W×150W by Brian Trujillo

Works well.: Home audio

There aren't many desktop options with a subwoofer output. I used to use a SONOS amp but I needed it in another room so I looked for a replacement without spending any money. I know it's not fair to compare it to a Sonos amp given the huge price difference. The sound quality is pretty good. It has a nice well-rounded full sound, but it sounds muddy in the bass. It has EQ features, but they're not great. All control is via the main volume knob. Pressing takes you to a menu that you can't back out of unless it times out (which seems to be going on FOREVER). I reflexively press the button to mute it, but it only goes to the menu and I can't use the button to turn down the volume until it exits the menu. Minor inconvenience but it's happened a few times and is a bit annoying. There is a universal remote that comes without batteries and has a mute function, but I honestly haven't used it as it's installed on my desk within easy reach.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Some bugs
