Alarm programmable and accurate, good size and color display, works for me

NOTE before I forget: I think it remembered its alarm level programming after a power outage. I will try to come back to update and confirm this. A bit more expensive than I think (maybe $9-$12 is fairer). For the price maybe it should come with some terminal adapter options (3/8" rings etc). You can strip the wires and just pop or solder between some existing terminal connections. The wires struck me as a bit short - seemed between 12-24 " to be. Everything ok, could make up for it - but that's why I rated the ease of use a bit low, you have to be at hand to set it up Actual use isn't that bad. I had to read the manual a little slowly - and if I lose this manual I don't think anyone after me will intuitively know how to set it up (and finding a PDF version can't take forever - so snap a photo of this guide in the archive). The temperature cable is also a bit short, but it can be lengthened, just like the main power cables. Mainly I wanted a low battery alarm. I tested it at 12.5V and turned on the fan for a while to reduce power. The alarm went off at 12.4 (i.e. it goes off at < your set voltage, not <=). This is normal, just wanted to confirm this. The alarm is loud enough I can hear it through the closed doors of the wooden uninsulated foot barn. But not so loud that I don't think it bothers the neighbors if it helps leaving it on for a few hours (I would say being 10ft from the barn I should have known what I was hearing I guess The speaker is internal and I don't see an easy way to open it yet - turn the speaker volume up. Maybe there is a way, just not ready to risk damaging it yet. So there's room for improvement here: Remote bluetooth configuration Use the application, set the alarm volume low, loud enough for me (since I'm always there when a load is active).
