I started using this product and in less than two days I developed painful soft tissue swelling in my tonsils and gums. I thought I just got sick maybe tonsillitis so I didn't stop using it the pain continued. Swollen lymph nodes. I was traveling for work and forgot to bring the retainer Brite and didn't use it for 4 days. My swelling and pain are completely gone. I just thought I had gotten over my tonsillitis, thought of nothing else, so I started using Retainer Brite again when I got home. Again within 24 hours swollen glands on throat, tonsils and gums. Now I understood the correlation and started researching, this is not an uncommon reaction. I thought I was misusing the product (I'm actually trying to give this stuff the benefit of the doubt here). BUT I followed the instructions on the packaging. I rinsed the retainer very well after each soak and never left the retainer in the solution for more than 15 minutes. 100% not for me.
