Review on 📻 LEXXSON Android 8.1 Car Radio Stereo: 10.1-inch Capacitive Touch Screen, HD GPS Navigation, Bluetooth, USB Player | Nissan Sentra 2013-2017 by Mike Johnston

I installed this on a 2014 Nissan Sentra to try and install a backup camera which is not included. I have already contacted LEXXSON and they will send me a free backup camera, hopefully with a license plate bracket. All the necessary plugs were ready and easy to plug in to get the unit up and running, so thanks to LEXXSON for that! I don't have to solder or crimp wires to the base unit. My first problem was that I couldn't get the unit to stay in the dash until I found that I had to pry the metal clips out of the original dash frame shown in the attached photos and place them on the unit. Unfortunately the ones in my original dashboard were good enough that I cut my hand pretty badly trying to remove them, they were almost glued on. After installing it, I only encountered two minor issues. One is that the right side of the device has about 1mm of vertical clearance, while the left side doesn't. Maybe I messed something up and I'll look into it. Second, all the SWC buttons work in my car EXCEPT the call answer and end buttons. They worked at first so I'm not sure why they won't work now. I can't tell how to update the firmware if needed and I can't update the Android version because Android settings are basic and only provide accounts, location, storage and some other settings. I noticed that the USB connectors are very similar in pinout to the existing one, but the existing one is bulkier so I'll have to get a wiring harness for that or make my own adapter. Pros: Relatively easy replacement for the original. finished cables. SWC basically works. Essentially an Android tablet so I can get pretty much anything on it. Customer support responds to problems. Cons: No installation guide or video, you do it yourself. Slow start. My home wifi for offline maps. It seems to be getting quite hot, I'll have to update this review in the future if there are any overheating issues. Customer service is in a completely different time zone so they don't reply to me until around midnight EST. .
