This monitor does NOT need to rest on a table to support it. Mine only holds with magnets. I'm sure if I bumped into my computer it would move, but not as exposed as some reviews would have you believe. I had some trouble setting up the driver, turning on the monitor, etc., but I guess I expected it to turn on right away. You will have to wait a few seconds, so be patient. The only improvement would be the power button. He's asleep, but the logo stays on the screen all the time, so burn that area. Haven't played with it yet to see if I can add a splash screen just through Windows 10's settings. The bezel sticks out a bit from the edge of your laptop if you want to see the full screen, but for the $50 Difference with Sidetrak I agree. Otherwise, the resolution is incredible, and the brightness can be regulated well. I love it!
