I hesitated for a long time to replace my landline telephone. A friend told me about Ooma three years ago and it took me a while to recover. I have a base station and needed to add this WiFi for an old phone that was not part of my WiFi setup. Linx Wireless works great. All Ooma is a worthy alternative to the rarely used landline. I read many reviews about Ooma in different places. We have basic services, we only pay taxes and the cost of switching our landline to Ooma. Anything about upgrades brings us back to paying AT&T. With this Linx Wireless, we are now 100% on par with our landline services. The sound is very good. Installation was pretty easy. Generally no disturbances. I haven't tried my fax machine, but I have to say that faxing with U-Verse, also an internet telephony service, was successful. But faxed or not, Ooma's monthly tax is all we pay.
