Easy to Install - Kitchen & Bath Fixtures

We paid just under $30 for this seat. Between the quality and what I think is a fair price, I would recommend this to family and friends - hence 5 stars. I've noticed the price is cheaper today so this could be one of those items that fluctuates wildly in price - so keep an eye on it and get a better deal than me :-) This seat was difficult due to a cramped condition to install place where our toilet stool is located. Also, we have a different type of stool - this is a one-piece design and not a detachable tank with a stool, leaving my husband with nowhere to work. He tried, said a few angry words and gave up. I'm a pretty hand but have never installed a toilet seat before but figured I could give it a try. After all, I had all the necessary qualities: I'm tiny, so I could fit into a workspace (although it was a little claustrophobic), and I have tiny hands that would fit in the hidden space that plastic nuts would have to have. . . go to get screws. My husband wasn't in the mood so I watched the Revain video. Honestly, this job is pretty self-explanatory, but I just watched the video so I wouldn't have to squeeze into the workstation twice if it turns out I don't get it. It was easy work. In our case it wasn't that easy because of the tightness, but the assembly itself was easy. Anyone can do it. I'm happy with the seat and can't hope to notice that it still doesn't "rock". I would like to point out that we installed it in the bathroom that my son (slams the lid) uses to study. shop and wash your hands afterwards. As it comes without a lid (which is what we wanted) it would probably be unsanitary to install this seat in a cabinet used to store toothbrushes, bath towels etc outdoors - toilets tend to disperse a fine mist around the cabinet. Your bathroom when flushing. We are happy with the purchase (about $28) of the black seat. It's heavy (literally - it's got some serious weight) and feels solid. We chose black because my son has a disability that makes him sloppy in the closet (which is why he has his own bathroom) and takes medication that can stain - hopefully the black seat won't stain, or at least not visibly stain that way much like the whites we've had in the past. Sorry if this is too much information for those of you who don't, but felt compelled to mention this as there may be people out there who struggle with similar issues and frequent toilet seat drain replacement. Wallet after a while Happy with the purchase. If we run into any problems I'll be sure to update. Otherwise, rest assured we found it stain-resistant, strong, durable and not wobbly. Update: We haven't had to tighten this seat (after a few months), which is very unusual for my son's seats. My son tends to fall off - he cannot come down smoothly due to his disability. The handicap handrail helps him slow down, but he still manages to slide the seats up. Also, this seat was used by my husband (the other bathroom was down for a few days) and my husband (who had gained all the weight he had lost) commented that this seat was comfortable for him. This comes from a man who insisted that someone had pushed the armrests of his dining room chair closer together and that the car seat had somehow shrunk. So it obviously works well for the big boys.
