Less eye strain with my iPad. Low contrast/brightness screen. Very cheap "recycled " design

I used this in my office with my Mac laptop. I figured a bigger screen would be better for my middle-aged eyes. It is not. I set up the monitor according to the instructions. The results are very disappointing. The monitor lacks brightness, the colors are flat: white light gray, black dark gray. There is no clarity and no sharp contrast. The text and images don't look anything like the images on my Mac laptop. And it's absolutely NOTHING like the crisp and attractive images in their monitor information above. I increased the text size on the monitor to the largest text setting. Then I put my iPad under the monitor and at the same distance I see content on my iPad better than on the monitor. When I open the window shade in my office, the sharpness is even greater: the iPad's brightness is just enough to cancel out the glare, but the LG's monitor isn't. The same is true when I compare the monitor to my laptop screen. On a Mac, the colors are much brighter and the contrast is much higher. The iPad's 9-inch screen and laptop's 13-inch screen are significantly better than LG's 27-inch monitor, with much less strain on the eyes. Also note that the back of the monitor is beige, like old computer monitors from the 1990s. cords white. The frame is black and the stand is silver. It looks very redesigned/put together - not at all like fancy modern technology.

Pros
  • tilt adjustment
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
