My 1990 Silverado 5.7 truck drove differently depending on the weather, short trips, long trips and just DIE at different times, neither of them was in a proper place. It kept starting up after being stopped and left for a minute or two. Replaced the distributor and installed a new EGR valve and fuel pump. I started to think deeper and began to suspect the computer (30 years old). Bought this one and it fits and works. Remove the clips on the left and slide the console to the left (requires a little muscle power). If I had replaced the part beforehand, I could have saved quite a bit.
