My kitchen faucet spout is a custom size. This is a 1.02 inch or 26mm diameter male thread. I just can't find a suitable aerator. This retro device was the answer. As others have noted, installing on a larger diameter spout can be tricky. I would suggest soaking it in hot water first and/or lubricating the hole with dish soap. If all else fails, you can enlarge the hole. The hole is surrounded by a concentric circular indentation roughly twice the size of the hole. Using a utility knife, I cut four slits from the indentation inward to the opening, 90 degrees apart. Then I carefully removed the resulting C-shaped rubber tabs. That helped. Block screwed to the pipe, and everything is fine. It works. A setup like this was good enough for my parents in the 1960s, so I think it's good enough for me.
