I have a Craftsman 4 gallon wet/dry vacuum. It has a 6ft hose, but I wanted to clean some of my tall furniture or dust collection shelves without dragging my regular upright vacuum up a ladder to get the job done. A 6ft hose is not enough to reach high objects. Please note that this attachment has a hose adapter and is NOT a replacement for your shop vacuum should it need to be replaced. You use a hose adapter to connect your 11ft hose to your 6ft hose. Now you have a 5m flexible hose to reach high shelves or bookshelves with dust instead of lugging the vacuum up the stairs. If you need a REPLACEMENT HOSE for your vacuum cleaner then this is another item to order. That extra hose length also comes in handy when vacuuming a large car, SUV, van, boat or RV. This prevents you from dragging the vacuum cleaner every few meters.
