auto-darkening was not working properly. I'm pretty sure the battery was the problem but instead of trying to fix my new helmet I'm sending it back. It dimmed and flickered when the arc was struck and remained so even when the arc was broken. The battery is not replaceable in the normal sense and I tried putting it out in the sun for a day to see if the solar panels would charge the battery. It's not like this. I have Yeswelder and it works great.
