So I hooked this device up to a riding lawn mower battery that's been sitting idle for 2 months, the device went through it self check then it went to red, it started flashing green and then I went to solid green, I disconnected it and hooked up my battery tender Plus and it went to red and it stayed there steady for about 10 minutes then it went to flashing green and then it went to steady green about a half hour later, tried the same thing on my wife's car yhat's been sitting for 2 weeks it did the same thing it did it's self check and then went to flashing red then flashing green then solid green right away hooked up my battery tender it took 45 minutes before the battery went to float, I trust my battery tender more than I trust this product and will most likely return it.
