I needed a lighter mount with a smaller profile that would fit in my computer case to use my Garmin nüvi 2555LMT 5 inch handheld GPS while traveling. It definitely meets this requirement. I like my screen in portrait mode so it shows more of what's in front than the side. That's just about enough for a 5-inch device. I don't have room to swivel front and back, it depends on the height of the dashboard for the optimal viewing angle. So far it has been ok for maybe 6 different rental cars. The bracket leaves silicone marks on the dashboard. Others said it wasn't, so I bought it anyway. Yes, but it is used in rental cars. , I will not experiment with my car - only rent it!
