I had slippers similar to this that did not fit me correctly. These type slippers will slip up and down on your heels if you do not get them tight enough. I saw where most reviews said to order a size up. I usually wear a 9 but got a 10. They felt tight at first but loosened up as I wore them. So, yes order a size up. These are so warm. Sometimes I have to take them off because my feet get too warm! They are very soft and easy to walk in. The bottoms are rubber. I have worn them outside and my feet stay dry even when it's wet out. You can tighten up the width with the ties across the top of the foot. These can be washed in the washing machine and set them out to dry. Nice slippers.
