For those times when you need to fix something to the wall behind the dresser they are great. They also come in handy when you need to plug one of those bulky DC/DC converter connectors into a power strip. The plug on the male end rotates well so you don't block an adjacent outlet. The pin end is also nice and flat to make mounting furniture closer to the wall easier. However, there is one drawback - the width of the plug. With some splitters, the connector makes it difficult to connect anything nearby. Of course, you can't use any other similar cable alongside it. This isn't an issue in all situations, however, and sometimes a little planning can solve this problem. I still have to buy a few of these expansions and they will probably be a little different. But I will still use these cords in places.
