Burn baby burn! - Electric

It ran on portable AC for 4-5 weeks before melting. Photos from other burned reviews are very accurate. Sad product and extremely unsafe, I don't know how this product has a UL label/rating.

3/4 of products ordered burned out within a month of use

Advertised as 13A meant to handle 1550w but we ran at 1105w for a couple of weeks and we have them now caught as they are on fire. May work for days or weeks but not worth the risk. What's great is that my returns window closed yesterday so the item won't last long. Main responsibility when you view pictures.

"Not for continuous power, must be unplugged when not in use "

For those planning on keeping it plugged in, this plug is not for you. The label that came with the cord states that it should not be used as a permanent power source and should not be unplugged when not in use. I think it's something important they should have put in the item description because I never would have received it.

It burned down in a couple of weeks but the seller helped me.

The swivel on the plug is handy but not as secure as the rest of the cable. That pivot fork is a weak point, mine overheated and started to melt, damaging the fork and rendering it unsafe to use after just a few weeks. *Update*: The seller contacted me and was willing to send me a new one or give me a refund outside of the return period.

Fire hazard! Literally lights up and melts well below the rated ampere.

Literally burned out and melted doing light work in the garage, the wall receiver also partially melted. Good thing I was there to turn off the breaker before it burned the house down. This product definitely does NOT meet the UL listed safety guidelines when many other reviews mention the same melting defects. UL certified products don't literally melt when used according to specifications. I didn't use overcurrent either.

Items are great but not without flaws

For those times when you need to fix something to the wall behind the dresser they are great. They also come in handy when you need to plug one of those bulky DC/DC converter connectors into a power strip. The plug on the male end rotates well so you don't block an adjacent outlet. The pin end is also nice and flat to make mounting furniture closer to the wall easier. However, there is one drawback - the width of the plug. With some splitters, the connector makes it difficult to connectโ€ฆ

Perfect for what they were bought for

The only improvement I see here is a slightly higher rating. It would be more convenient for me if they were 120V, 15A. The price could stay about the same. With a higher rating it would be much more tranquil. But all the ones I looked at Revain had a similar rating. Reason for purchase was to replace one I bought a few years ago when its case failed around the AC pins. Also, I needed a few extras for other areas of the house so the appliance cords don't look so intrusive. Normally I wouldโ€ฆ
