Rebuilt old vacuum pump (actually a scientific high vacuum pump, overkill for refrigeration work but very fast and thorough) to use twin fittings . This is a replacement for Robinair pumps but can be adapted to fit many other pumps. This fitting features an internal check valve that prevents a system under vacuum from pumping oil from a vacuum pump that has been turned off or has lost power. This is a great feature, but it ultimately reduces the ultimate vacuum that a powerful pump can achieve. No valves are installed on Schrader/Acme ports, so an unused port must be plugged. There are no laces on the lids, so be careful not to lose them.
