Light cracks, lots of bubbles and smudged fingerprints.
The thought of a screen protector makes sense, but I'm not sure if I really need one for my car. I bought one and it cracked slightly during installation trying to get rid of the bubbles. So I bought a second one and was a lot more forgiving with the installation but still had blisters and the corner cracked. I left it on as it was only the bottom corner, but it shows nothing but smudged fingerprints that require a little more cleaning than the touchscreen.
