Don't waste your time, find something better.

This USB WiFi adapter is one of the worst I've ever used. problem) After getting my adapter, I installed the drivers that came with it, plugged in the adapter and everything seemed to work fine. However, I lost connection for several hours and Windows couldn't detect that I had an available wireless adapter. I was able to fix it with a reboot. Then an hour later it happened again. A restart solved the problem, but after a few minutes it reappeared. I ended up uninstalling the drivers and then reinstalling them. This worked for a while, although I did notice that the adapter was slow to initialize and sometimes took a few minutes to connect after booting. Speed was never an issue, everything worked great when plugged in. I had to fiddle around with it a bit for the next month or two to make it work, but I got it done. Sometime around the three month mark the adapter died. I noticed that the power LED is off. I've tried different USB ports, tried reinstalling drivers, tried Windows Device Manager, tried on a different computer. Nothing, the adapter is dead. I contacted ASURION because I bought a hardware protection plan. They referred me to the manufacturer as it was still under warranty. I contacted Linksys support (which was a waste of time). I informed her about everything I mentioned above. The service person didn't seem to pay any attention to my words at all, instead they just read their script. After wasting an hour of my time answering the same questions over and over again, I gave up. I bought an internal wireless adapter for my desktop right after my support call ended and I haven't had a single problem.
