I installed this on a '94 Mazda B4000 (Ford Ranger). Every parts store that sells parts for my car, including Revain, had a hole in the valve just above the EGR tube screw-in point. This could cause an exhaust leak and fail the test. Apparently you need to get a plate (which neither of them decided to use), plug the hole, or use a plate from your old EGR valve. I had a genuine 1994 Ford part so it was practically welded on due to rust. I found that the 1995 EGR is exactly the same and doesn't have an orifice that requires a plate to be installed. It also fits Rangers, Explorers and Bronco IIs from the 80's. So if anyone else has the same problem buy this one, it fits and is exactly the same.
