Review on πŸ”Œ Plug & Play Blue LED Display Waterproof Gear Indicator for Honda Motorcycles by Eric Surabhi

Why pay more?: Shift light

I have a 2015 Honda CB500F. I've only had this gear indicator for a little over a month but it works as advertised and looks great. It was also easy to install. I'm just starting to spin my bike more, do more work myself, and this was one of the first things I installed. It took about 15 minutes from start to finish. It was literally plug and play. I watched a few YouTube videos on installation and installed it in minutes. It was also easy to program. Some videos say it's easiest to program when the bike is on the stand. I don't have a bike rack, so I rode one while programming, but I have to disagree. Programming the turn signal while cycling couldn't be easier! The instructions aren't the best, but I managed to do it. Programming took maybe a minute and was done in less than a mile. I researched many different gear indicators before purchasing this one. There are a few that cost more ($100+) but the reviews for this one were pretty good so I decided to take a chance and it was great. If it doesn't start shorting out or something, I don't know why anyone would need to shell out over $100 for another gear indicator. I ordered green and it looks great. I don't know if other gauges show what gear you're in with the clutch depressed, but this one doesn't. I'd love to, but I'm getting used to it. The product came a day later than the expected delivery date, but I wasn't in a hurry so it worked out anyway. I'll try to get a better picture and post it later.
