Review on πŸ”Š Infinity Reference 6530CX: Unleashing High-Performance 6-1/2" Component Speaker System by Eric Smalley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfectly balanced sound

I am very picky about speakers and have used older 6030cs Infinity. Compared to other brands, the tweeters of these components are perfect. I hate overly "bright" or shrill highs because they give me a headache and are very tiring to listen to at high volumes. With the Infinity Reference Line, that's no problem. The tweeters are clean and very well rounded. I've tried JBL GTOs, Pioneer A-Series and Alpine Type Rs in previous vehicles, and installed countless other brands for friends, and Infinity is on a whole other level. The included installation hardware covers a wide range of tweeter installations. My only complaint is that the speakers don't come with a cable with jacks for the midrange and the cable for the tweeters is about 4 inches long and has jacks pre-wired? You will need to use an extra 16 gauge wire to extend the distance from the crossover to the speakers in the door panel. As long as Infinity keeps the quality I will use them exclusively. By the way, I strongly recommend you to strengthen them. I used them as a factory replacement during the day and while they sounded cleaner than my factory speakers, the volume was lower for my setup (I connected my front speaker wires to a converter with an active line out so the impedance is higher than when I wished they would just be speakers) After I installed my 60w Orion amp they came alive and sounded 5-10 times louder and clearer. Highly recommended!
